Grading Scale
Grading and Evaluation of Students
Ford Heights School District 169 makes every effort to keep parents informed of a student’s academic progress. Students attending Ford Heights Schools receive a report card 4 times a year. These reports are issued every 9 weeks. Additionally, students receive progress reports no later than the 4th week of each grading period.
These comprehensive report cards provide information to parents about the student’s performance in the core curriculum subjects and related courses such as Physical Education, Music, and Art. The report cards also allow for additional narrative commentary about a student’s performance.
Many students have physical or learning disabilities that make it difficult for them to learn through traditional styles of instruction. To help these students succeed, school systems offer an altered/modified curriculum and/or instructional approach. These changes are called modifications, adaptions, or accommodations.
Any student whose grade has been modified, will be delineated by an asterisk (*).
